Professional Experience

Prof. Savas Tumis obtained his Ph.D. in Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) at Technical University of Berlin in Germany in 1987. During this period, he also worked as an Industrial Consultant for Technology Outsourcing (BMW, Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen, Sennheiser, Braun Melsungen, etc.) at Fraunhofer Institute IPK Berlin. The Subject of his Ph.D. thesis is “Computer Aided Cost Calculation of Moulds and Dies”.

Mr. Tumis has extensive experience in areas of Industrial Counseling, Intellectual Property, Enterprise Market Leadership Management, Enterprise turn-around Management and Restructuring, Production and Factory Planning. From 1980 to 1982 he worked as Project Manager for Software Development and Deputy Factory Manager at Siemens Switch Gears Company in Berlin. From 1987 to 1989 he worked as Director of Departments for Production Planning and Material Logistics at Rexroth Hydraulics GmbH. From 1989 to 1994 he worked as CEO of Industronic GmbH in Germany. In 1995, he established International Top Management Consultants Company for Strategic Management and Market Leadership.

Due to his outstanding achievement in areas of Industrial Counseling and Enterprise Management, Mr. Tumis was appointed as a Professor in Chinese and German College by Tongji University in China in 2005 and has been given the title of Honorary Professor (PhD Supervisor) for “Innovation Marketing” at the Faculty of Economics and Management by Technical University of Berlin in 2007.

Mr. Tumis was registered as European Patent Attorney in Munich in 2002 and he is also Trademark Attorney. Mr. Tumis has in-depth understanding of Chinese Culture and extensive connection with German Companies and Chinese local governments. Therefore, Mr. Tumis was appointed as Vice-Chair of Automotive Components Working Group by European Chamber of Commerce in China in 2011.

In 2013, Mr. Tumis joined Intewig & Partners as a senior consultant on invitation of Mr. Weimin FAN.
